Q. How much will it cost.
A. Your online quotation is what you pay and is based on the floor being in good condition and the dimensions you have given us.

Q. What condition is my floor in, will I need any repairs
A. We recommend that you have a site visit   prior to us starting the work in order to check the condition of your floor and to assess wither any repairs need doing.

Q. If I need any repairs what will be the cost.
A. Once we have made a site visit we will give you a written quotation on the total cost including any repairs

Q. Is there much dust.
A. No! All Earthworks machinery is state of the art and has very powerful dust extraction.

Q. Should I decorate first or after?
A. It's better to decorate first but leave the final coat on the skirting boards till after the sanding and polishing.

Q. Would it be a problem to decorate after.
A. No! As we can cover the floor with Dixoshield floor protection board.

Q. How long will it take
A. An average room with no repairs should take no longer than a day and a half.

Q. Will I like the colour.
A. When the floor has been taken back down to the bare wood a section is oiled to see whether you like the colour if you are not sure it is at this stage that we can stain the floor, we usually do various patches of stain so you can see the differences.

Q. What finish do you use on the floor.
A. Earthworks likes to use hard wax oil which is a mixture of beeswax and linseed oil, but there are many other finishes and we can advise you accordingly.

Q. How many coats of the finish do you give the floor.
A. Earthworks gives 2 coats of hardwax oil, any other finish is 3 coats on domestic locations and 4 coats on commercial.

Q. Is there any difference in price of the various finishes.
A. No! As stated above the online quote is what pay whether you have hard wax oil or any other finish.

Q. How long will the surface last.
A. As long as you follow the correct maintenance procedures the finish on your floor should last at least 5 years.

Q. How do I look after my floor.
A. On completion we will supply you with the correct cleaning products and maintenance procedure, prices for these are in our How Much section.

Q. How do I pay.
A. You can pay either by cheque or credit card.

Q. How long will I have to wait to get my floor sanded.
A. Earthworks has 4 floor renovation teams so you should have to wait no longer than a week.
